I have successfully filmed my footage and have uploaded it into iMovie where I will be editing and creating the final product of my music video. I have collected a wide range of camera angles such as mid-length shots, side shots, close-ups/extreme close-ups, panning, over the shoulder, etc.
I used LED lights so that I was still able to film in dark lighting and so that the audience is still able to see what is happening in the music video, despite the fact that this was filmed at night.
I am happy with my music video so far, however, some changes need to be made.
As the camera that I had borrowed from school died because of low battery, I used my own camera from home. It is a HD Canon, and despite its clean and clear picture when it is light, it creates an unprofessional 'static-like' effect in the dark, which completely destroys the whole picture. As this happens at the very start of my music video, I have decided to completely re-film this scene, using the appropriate camera, as first impressions are very important.
Also (taking full advantage of the fact that I have a more professional camera to work with), I will be doing some extra filming as I have 4 minutes of footage while the song is 6 minutes long. I hope to film scenes which explain the story a lot more as I feel like my music video is yet to do that. I will also take pictures of my actors which can be used in my digipak or album poster.
